As we all entered lockdown #1 in 2020, we had absolutely no idea of just how much our lives would irrevocably change. I was so so pleased to be able to work with Laura Wellington, creative, designer and founder of In Good Company on Posters For The People which started off as a Leeds billboard project to say Thank You to frontline workers, with some other legends and hero’s from across the UK.
Posters For The People – Essentially Amazing
The overwhelming response led to myself and 7 other artists to get involved to create a banner for the NHS and frontline workers who have done so much for us during the pandemic.
A campaign to ‘bring joy, art and colour to the streets so that people can spread positivity with art’ is, as you’ll know, absolutely something I am all about. Read more about it here.
Myself, @moragmyerscough @studiodotbuild @anthonyburrill @wearefyi @_craigblack @risottostudio and @luketonge have created banners and posters which are available to buy with all profits going to the charity Frontline19 a free and confidential psychological support service for all UK frontline workers.
The Leeds citywide campaign was in collaboration with @wearefyi @popartmediagroup and @iloveleedscitycentre.
